Do you ever wonder what your purpose is in life? Why are you here? Did you come up with an answer? I often pondered these questions, until I met a Man who changed my entire life. He loves me unconditionally. No matter how many times I mess up and apologize, He forgives me and loves me just the same. This Man wanted to be with me for quite some time, but I just kept running. I figured I am independent. I am in control of my life and destiny. I don’t need a man to define who I am; besides, men love the chase. But, I began to wonder why I was having so much difficulty achieving my goals. It was almost as if everything I did ended in a disaster. One storm after another. Okay, “so what is going on?”, I asked myself. “I am a morally good person. I have a host of friends whom I enjoy. I treat people fairly decent.” Yet, I felt something was just not right; something was missing. As I took a survey of my life, I knew there was more meaning to life. Yet, I kept on living, not making any changes, even though I felt uncomfortable. From time to time, I kept hearing another voice in my ear; I thought “Nah, I’m just crazy.” I just could not put my finger on it, but it was nagging me.

Then, my best friend introduced me to this Man who blew my mind. Words could not begin to explain the power of His presence. Most of all the change within me and my life was amazing. I knew that this change was from my newfound friend. I love Him with all my heart. The love grows each day. Let me introduce Him. His name is Jesus, the Son of the true and living God. Being in a relationship with Him is easy because of how He loves me. I will never comprehend all the many ways He proves His love for me. He is trustworthy. He always keeps His promises. He knows what I need and when I need it. In fact, He knows my heart better than I do. He provides for all my needs. We have the best intimate time together, communicating. I go through my trials as in all relationships, but he walks with me, uplifts me, and encourages me through the most difficult times.

Do you hear me? Walking with God is the best life you will ever have. He fulfills all those yearnings, that restless itch, that hole in your heart. Walking with God is not always easy because of our sinful nature, but He gives us everything we need to live the way He calls us to live. God is love.
