Sometimes we don’t believe or have faith in what we have in Christ. We can very easily feed into the lies of the enemy that have been on people for so long. For example, assuming your blessings are from obedience and our good works or because you tithe, you will have financial provisions. No, we have nothing to do with it. God blesses according to His will. The scriptures say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Phil 4:13) It is in His power, not ours. This verse validates for me; I can welcome trials and suffering because of what it will achieve in me and, ultimately, Christ will be glorified. However, we do have gifts on our lives
We have many jewels from above. Blessings come from being on our knees, pouring our hearts out to God. Often we don’t open our hearts completely to receive the gifts placed on us. Just like kids excited about gifts and wrapping gifts for others, Jesus loves to give us spiritual gifts and talents to use to bless others. He has equipped us and designed us to use these gifts even though some fear using their gifts thinking they will be a failure.
He gives us His gift of compassion even when we don’t honor Him as we should. When I know, I have not been obedient and all of a sudden I am going through a trial, He continues to have compassion on me. He continues to walk me through the test. What person can do that for you? Our minds are too busy looking for all the wrong things, for money or material gifts, yet the best gifts in our lives are simple but rich. When He sees me struggling and hurting, He is moved by compassion. I have comfort in knowing He cares about me. He makes provisions for me. It makes me want to serve Him more. No matter how much I mess up, He continues to love me and you as well.
How precious is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit? He guides us, he teaches us, He convicts and reproves us of sin. He gives us power from above when we don’t grieve or quench His Spirit. We can so quickly lose sight of His role in our life. God said He would never leave or forsake us. He wants to be with us in every aspect of our lives. No matter what we are experiencing, He is with us. The grace that Jesus so freely gives us prompts me to turn the other cheek to offenses by others. They deserve grace. It is not as difficult when you view it with God’s eyes. We can forgive because He forgives us as many times as we need to be forgiven. God has freely given us grace, so we should be able to provide grace to one another.
He blesses us with wisdom. Wisdom is God’s gift, given out of His goodness. It helps us to persevere in trials and to understand how to live life through Him. Wisdom is needed to endure the testing of our faith. We must realize the gifts in our life, stop feeding into the world system and lies. We have everything we need in Christ, we need to act like it and live like it.
These are the amazing gifts that have been placed on the children of God. If we are not seeking Him every day, nor spend quality time, we will never enjoy all He has for us. As we grow deeper in our relationship with God, (and I pray this is your desire), we can appreciate the many gifts in our lives. We realize nothing that God has for us will ever run dry. He is faithful to supply all our needs. Above all, the greatest gift is Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and offering eternal life to all who believe.
