Before I get into this blog post, I want to assure you that it is not intended to offend Spirit-filled believers walking in Christ. God knows your heart. It is a wake-up call to those who are not. God gave me this message while I was in prayer this morning. It is a tough message, but it is well-needed for the restoration of ears that will hear and take action. God bless you.
Have we forgotten who He is? Have we no longer respect for the character and attributes of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? Or have you ever truly known or cared? Fraud, fake religion, nominal Christians whose hearts are far from God, and a mockery of genuine Christian faith who worship Christ in spirit and truth. Where is the Church? Truly it has lost its way. Look at the world. What do you see? Is there more light drawing others to light or more and more darkness? Is our love so abundant toward people that we are pointing them to Christ? Are we making a statement of His love to the world or are we pretending? What say ye? Let us look at the life of Jesus. Why? Because He is our role model. We can use some refreshing.
Jesus humbled Himself, not caring about reputation. He was a servant. Love was His motivation, to God and us. John 13:34-35, 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” He was submissive to the Father. (Philippians 2:5-8)He hated sin. What about you? He was made sin for our sakes and died on the cross, yet we wallow in it. He is the head of the church and we don’t respect Him. Through His Word, He nourishes and cleanses the church and we don’t read it, much less live it. Look at God’s character. Your ways are no longer His ways. It is the opposite of godly, holy, and spiritual. He is the light of this world.“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12) He is not a liar. He is the truth. “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6) So why are we lying?
If God is all these good and perfect things, why does the church mock His character? Is the church little by little feeding into Satan’s enticement, believing the lies and deception? This is why the Word states to be “sober and alert” because the devil is on the prowl seeking to devour. (1 Peter 5:8-10) Has not he and his demons been extremely busy today? Has not the church been devoured? My God, My God, why have we forsaken thee? We are allowing the enemy to destroy our faith, testimony, and walk. Satan is a dangerous enemy. He is a serpent that bites us when we least expect it. He is a destroyer and an accuser. He has great power and intelligence, and a host of demons who assist him in his attack against God’s people. He is an enemy we must never ignore or underestimate his ability. This is why we must be vigilant and have our minds under control when it comes to conflict with Satan. He has taken control of many claiming the name of Christ. Please stop mocking God by attempting to put God behind your evil and lies. That is not God’s character, nor His ways. He is not about lies, divisiveness, and ill-will toward people. He loves all people. He loves and cares for the poor and lowly as well as the rich and high-minded.
The church has lost its way. It can’t distinguish between good and evil. It is serving its selfish pride, wants, and needs that have nothing to do with God Almighty. It lives out what 1 John 2:15-16, “Love not the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – is not of the Father but is of the world.” The world is Satan’s system and is taking hold within the church. Loving the world system with no reflection of Christ-likeness is an example. You walk and align yourself with the way of the evil one, walking in self-denial. Oh, search your hearts before God. He will reveal to you exactly who you are. The most important thing in our Christian lives is not how we look in our own sight or the lives of others, but how we look in the sight of God.
I think He is tired of the failing church. Just as He warned the church of Laodiceans, Revelations 3:15-19, “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.” Well, there you have it. Is the church changing the world for good? Are we making a difference in the lives of people, or are we a part of the evil and darkness of the world system? Can we stand before the Lord face to face and hear Him say, “Well done my faithful servants?” Do we love like He loves? Do we forgive as He does, time after time, after time? Do we focus on pleasing Him rather than ourselves? Do we put other people’s needs before ours? Must we have control? All said and done, are we surrendered to Jesus Christ or money, power, greed, self, lust, and the pride of life? Jesus said, “But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men…” (Matthew 23:13a). Following man’s tradition and not God’s truth will keep you out of the kingdom. In your pride, you smile and laugh and say, “This is good”, but God says, “Repent!”
Church, we need to get back to the truth and clean this world up. God is about to show us things never seen before because, Church,” You are out of order!” Get in line before His wrath fully comes upon you.
Let’s not do this. May we come together in the love of Christ and take over this world with His love, mercy, and grace. Amen
