Dedicated To Ahmaud and Mr. Floyd
Lord help me get this anger out and calm my heart.
I have shed enough tears, so let’s be real from the start.
People hating people for the color of their skin,
This is where the injustice and the killing begin.
God you told us in your Word we are all one,
Yet the wars have begun.
Why are people in denial about what they genuinely feel?
They say they are not racist, but yet they still kill.
They came with guns killed and steal.
Then made laws and wrote a bill.
They have to have their guns because of fear.
Cause deep down; we know the truth is clear.
Nobody is trying to make a change, no they not dare.
Controlling, privileged, and faking as they care.
But you oh God, you know the heart.
They can’t run, hide, dodge, or dart.
They persecuted and hated you.
This is to be expected from all the injustice.
Notably, in all their corruptness.
Lord, give me the heart to be better than this.
I know it always ends up dismissed.
They sit sheltered in their homes, never come out
They don’t have a clue what it’s all about.
Never tested the waters, but quick to judge,
Laying down laws, taking control, and never budge.
Take a stand, and they try to knock you down.
They can’t stand the truth, so they don’t want you around.
This is the system and the world we live in.
So called Christians, the privileged, and their sin.
All about the color of your skin.
If you’re affected maybe you understand.
If you’re offended, you justify and reprimand.
It is time to lay it all down.
What else does God have to do but frown.
He is so tired of this mess.
There is no way He will bless.
So, I conclude, humble thyself before it is too late.
For you will not enter the pearly Gate.
