STUDY AND MEDITATION

Worship is studying God’s Word. It helps us to get to know who God is and what He requires of us. When we apply what we read and keep His commandments we allow Him to do His transforming work within us. We will grow more and more into His character. We will begin to see people as He does, love all people as He does, and surrender our will for His will.

PRAYER

Prayer is another means of worship. God wants us to communicate with Him all the time, about every detail of our life, not just when we want something or going through a hardship. God’s presence in your prayers strengthens you as you wait for His time. Prayer is spiritual communication between man and God, a two-way relationship in which man should not only talk to God but also listen to Him. Our praying must be faithful and steadfast, being committed and not stopping. Praying should be vigilant and purposeful. Be watchful and be specific when you pray. And most of all be thankful. It is an important ingredient in successful praying.

SUBMISSION

SINGING PSALMS AND HYMNS

Yes, submission is worship. Become as a child loving and obeying his or her parent. We submit by “abiding in Christ, (John 15:7. ) The picture of abiding is submission, allowing Christ to erase our pride, self-sufficiency, and self-interest. Allow the fruit to be brought forth in you, by submitting, that the Father may be glorified. How do we do that? Seek Him in prayer, drench yourself in His Word, and recognize you must give up the need to control your life. Give God the control. Submit to Him!

BAPTISM TESTIMONY WORSHIP

We worship as we sing of psalms and hymns uplifting praise to our heavenly Father. The holy Scriptures say “speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.” (Ephesians 5:19.) This is one of the major themes in worship. It is a call to praise God. Many people find it easier when they can’t find adequate words to express their hearts to God. A hymn is a song that gives praise, honor, or thanksgiving to God. Believers express their faith in spiritual songs.

My heart is very heavy this morning ; my family and friends are walking around believing they are going to Heaven without giving their life to Christ. If you have breath in your bodies, then you still have time. The Holy Bible reads as: John 14:6 ( KJV)
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
A lot of you have known me personally and know that I have pretty much done everything under the sun ( lie, gossip, steal, smoke, drink, curse up a storm, and etc., ), but to God I give all the Glory. Hallelujah!!! I am far from perfect and never will be , but I started to recognize how these things in my life made me feel; I started to feel unstable with my thoughts, my daily decisions and making others unhappy around me. . I was depressed, angry, feeling overwhelmed at times with bouts of anxiety. Ultimately, I realized I wasn’t living for me anymore, but for everyone else. I now have a peace that nobody can take away because :
• I admitted to God that I was a sinner
• I repented ( turned away from my sinful/wicked ways)
• I asked God for forgiveness
• I believed that his son Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins, was buried and rose again from the dead.
• I invited Jesus to live in my heart to become my personal Lord and Savior
*** I am so excited because I’m getting Baptized (which is important) this Sunday ( 2/23/2020). You are all welcome to come and celebrate with myself and other sisters and brothers in Christ as we go down in the water!
Let me tell you, it is the best decision I made. I still have trials and tribulations, but now I have Jesus to help me on my daily walk in life. Please stop living your life in vain because those likes on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and etc. will not make you internally happy or get you into Heaven. God will not be impressed!!!

  • Sybil, Thank you for your mission, and vision and for sharing that vision with all of us, but women specifically. It helps us to recognize if we just focus on God and take our concerns to Him; we will be all the better for it.
