Come on, sistas, you know we need each other. It is unique; it is electric. We girls need a safe space to come to where we can be real, accepted, and communicate about life experiences. We have many responsibilities and demands placed upon us. Our lives can get crazy and chaotic. We need our girl time to breathe, sit back, and relax. We can identify with each other. We have those times in life where sistas’ just need sistas.’
It is a particular time where we can open up, be honest, and say we messed up, or we need advice. It is a time of sharing, healing, prayer, and encouragement. Alternatively, time to laugh hysterically, act crazy, and just let out hair down.
During this pandemic, I have missed those times. It just does not seem the same. It is a blessing when we come together with diverse, unique, personalities, and gifts. We form a deep bond just as sisters do. It is unique because we learn from each other, respect, and appreciate our differences as we grow together. I have been through various seasons of trials. My sistas’ walked me through each one, side by side.
One of the reasons Transforming Temples exist today is because of these very things. The purpose is women coming together to encourage, uplift, and support one another. We are accountable to each other. We can learn from each other’s experiences. It teaches us how to love one another and not be jealous of each other. We become empowered, less vulnerable, and courageous as we share our resources, wisdom, and knowledge.
When we come together, it can lighten the load mentally and physically as we build on love, truth, and a spiritual foundation. Not to mention how awesome it is when someone really listens to you. Can I get a shout out and an “amen” ladies?
As a single Christian woman learning the joy of being content, I still need girl time and even more with age. It has been rewarding and productive. Bonding with other women is intimate in a way that lessens the burden of everyday life. You can have all the material security and professional success you need, but they cannot satisfy all our needs, especially of the healing strength we receive from God and share with each other.
What a blessing as friendships grows over time, you know one another so well, you don’t have to speak because your minds are in sync. Although the personality may differ, the love we have for each other and the strength in our relationship remain strong and grows even stronger.
If you do not have this in your life, talk to me by email, comment, contact, subscribe, or find other females who fit the descriptions defined above. Better yet, stay tuned right here at Transformingtemples.com, and we will love you.
Well, ladies, this is what Sistas’ is all about. From lending an ear, a shoulder to cry on, giving advice, building self-esteem is something all sistas’ can benefit. We share lasting memories.
Treasure your girlfriends; they can be the backbone of your support system. Continue to pray for your sisters, sharpen one another, love them, and be thankful. “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” (Jn. 15:13).
